maybe she doesn"t like that being bound to someone feeling. i would recommend to you to not forcefully show your feelings to her. let her be herself. just be there, as a friend to her. but show her that how much you love her. at moments she is sad, or she's happy or she misses her ex best guy friend. just support her for her feelings for her ex. once she developes respect for you, she'll understand your feelings. be a soft, supportive person and not someone who wants her, she would hate that. have patience. all the best. even me and my boyfriend met at similar conditions. but he made me fall in love with him, which, actually took an year.
