In 'Public Enemies' after Agent Reinecke beats up billie, does john dillinger get revenge against him?

Marion Cotillard's Character 'Billie' is beaten up under interrogation by Agent Reinecke. She says when john finds out he did this to her he will get revenge (assumably kill him). Does john dillinger actually get revenge on Reinecke before his death? It seems there wasn't any closure for that part of the film.
